Rulebook

Rules & Regulations

The Georgia Effect Code of Conduct. Every member is expected to know these rules before connecting. Not knowing a rule is not an excuse for breaking it.

§ 1

General Conduct

Treat every member with respect, both in and out of character.

  1. Zero tolerance for hate speech, slurs, harassment or discrimination of any kind.
  2. Do not exploit bugs, use mod menus or run third-party cheats. Report bugs to staff instead.
  3. Staff decisions are final in the moment. Appeal through a ticket afterwards, never in-game.
  4. You must be 17 or older to be part of the community.
§ 2

Staying in Character

Remain in character at all times while connected.

  • Out-of-character (OOC) talk belongs in Discord. Use /ooc only for urgent issues.
  • Do not break character to argue about a scene. Finish it, then open a ticket.
  • Streamer and Discord names must not be referenced in character.
§ 3

Value of Life

Your character wants to live.

  • When threatened with a weapon, comply unless you have a realistic way out.
  • After being downed, your character does not remember the events leading to their death (New Life Rule) if they are respawned.
  • Do not return to a scene you died in for 15 minutes.
§ 4

Combat & Crime

  • RDM / VDM (random deathmatch / vehicle deathmatch) is not allowed.
  • Initiation must be clear and verbal before any hostile action.
  • Robberies of stores and banks require the minimum number of on-duty police listed in Discord.
  • No crime within 15 minutes of a server restart.
§ 5

Metagaming & Powergaming

  • Metagaming: using information your character didn't learn in-game (streams, Discord, voice chats) is prohibited.
  • Powergaming: forcing actions on others with no chance to respond, or doing things that are unrealistic for your character, is prohibited.
§ 6

Vehicles & Driving

  • Drive realistically for the vehicle and conditions.
  • Low-clearance cars do not go off-road.
  • Do not spawn emergency vehicles you are not certified for.
  • Vehicle modifications must stay within what is realistic for the car.
