Mission Statement
The Georgia State Police's goal is to keep every highway in the state safe and moving. Troopers enforce traffic law, reduce serious crashes and respond to incidents on the interstate system, working alongside local agencies wherever they're needed.
Expectations
Troopers are held to a high standard. We look for members who are respectful, mature and disciplined, communicate clearly on the radio, and can stay calm in a pursuit or a tense traffic stop. You must be a whitelisted member in good standing and complete the GSP academy (written test and ride-along).
